My ultimate childhood favorite movie is Matilda based on Roald Dahl’s novel of the same name. I’ve watched it more times than I could remember and every time I watch it again, the feeling never gets old. Over the years, Matilda has become something of a cult classic. I was thrilled when I heard that they had a reunion and some of my favorite scenes were even recreated by the actors. Remember when Bruce Bogtrotter was forced to eat an entire cake by the evil Miss Trunchbull? It was a triumph and you won’t believe how he looks like today.
The Wicked Years by Gregory Maguire is the first book box set I bought —a somewhat spinoff to L. Frank Baum’s known children’s classic book ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’.
“One short day, in the Emerald City…” Familiar with that song? Last year, I had the chance to watch the musical, Wicked Manila and one of my bucket lists is to watch it on Broadway someday.
Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is one of my favorite books that stuck with me since my English teacher discussed it when I was in high school. I even attended the QCinema International Film Festival to watch the movie.
Don’t get me wrong, Osborne did a great film on this and I love it so much but it isn’t so much of an adaptation to my favorite book.
I read Archie Comics. Back in 2011, before Riverdale was made into a TV series, I was introduced to it by my ex-boyfriend-slash-my-amazing-husband. He had collected some of the Archie Comics Double Digest and read most of it on his early teens. Now, he’s more than happy to share his collection with me and to our kids.
I write poems. I hope I could be so confident to share them a lot like everyone else. I posted some of it on Twitter. I know it was a mediocre writing but I hope to get better and published a poetry collection one day.
I am a big fan of Mr. Men and Little Miss. It is a series of children’s books by British author Roger Hargreaves and it’s going to be an absolute pleasure to have the entire collection (one can only wish!)
Three things I love that should frequently be on stock: Coffee, Dark Chocolate and Vanilla/Cheese Ice Cream. I couldn’t live without coffee. It’s practically part of my daily routine. Same goes with dark chocolate and I’d rather have them than flowers during Valentine’s day.
And who doesn’t eat ice cream! Actually, I could love all possible and available flavors but Vanilla and Cheese are my go-to. You may think it’s weird but wait until you taste how cheese-tastic it is!
I nominate these amazing book bloggers:
