Thank you to my fellow Hufflepuff, Beatrice at Confessions of a Pinay Bookaholic for nominating me for the Unique Blogger Award! This is humbling and I’m ecstatic to share this later to my chosen nominees.
1. Thank the person who nominated you for the award.
2. Display the award.
3. Answer the questions they’ve written for you.
4. Nominate 8-13 bloggers and give them three questions in the spirit of sharing love and solidarity within our blogging family!
Which author do you think is overrated?
If you ask my 16-year-old self, never in a million times I’d even mentioned Nicholas Sparks. Yeah! I’ve read his books and watch the movies, from A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, to The Lucky One and Dear John, you name it. I love all of them, don’t get me wrong but like everyone else and as a reader who aged, I think I kinda outgrow him in a way that I realized a pattern—the plot of his stories were almost the same every single time.
What is your favorite book trope?
I’ve mentioned this once on my blog tour review for The Boyfriend Bracket. My favorite is the sibling’s best friend trope specifically the “older brother’s best friend”. And let me just share that before I read books with this particular trope, I’ve watched it on a lot of movies. The warm, fuzzy feeling of being in love but the brother has a number one rule that the sister is off-limits yet he’ll do it anyway, which let’s be honest, is so predictable yet for me, it never gets old!
And wait! Can you give me another minute because I actually have two! The second one is *drum roll*…..fake relationship. Oh please! Peter Kavinsky left a mark and I’m sure we’re on a same page here, right?
What are your top 3 most anticipated books of 2019?
Oh no! This is hard because as I’ve recently shared the 2019 Release Calendar and Spreadsheet where I’ve seen a lot of books that I genuinely love to read. So maybe, I’ll randomly mention titles? Here it goes:
📘 Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto
📘 We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal
📘 The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson
📘 My Fate According to the Butterfly by Gail D. Villanueva
📘 The Red Bridge Wars by Shannon Price
- What is your favorite book that you’ve read this year?
- Which book’s ending made you want to scream (because you’re either angry, confused or more likely ecstatic, you want a re-read)?
- Which book do you think deserves a movie adaptation?
I nominate these unique, extraordinary book bloggers:
“My favorite is the sibling’s best friend trope specifically the “older brother’s best friend” – HA! You really love this trope huh, you should really read Star-Crossed!!! Hehe. What an awesome tag! Thank you for the tag Karlita!

OMG! Thanks for nominating me! ❤️ I really enjoyed reading your answers. I loved Nicholas Sparks back then too and there was a point in my life when I read all of his books that were released at that time. 😂 I tried reading his newer books but I wasn’t feeling it so I haven’t picked it up again. I will give him another try someday.
Aaaand I love both the tropes you mentioned! OMG, it gives me the butterflies just thinking about it. Ahahaha 😂
Looking forward to answering your questions. 😁
